Marivere gati is the first single from AMMAR 808’s eagerly awaited new album “GLOBAL CONTROL / INVISIBLE INVASION.” The artist’s previous album “Maghreb United” – a thrilling mixture of deep TR-808 bass and Pan-Maghreb beats and voices – received widespread critical acclaim and shook dancefloors throughout Europe, North Africa and beyond. This time AMMAR 808 has travelled to Chennai in southern India for an equally breath-taking new adventure.

On Marivere gati, AMMAR 808 has collaborated with the Carnatic singer Susha to create a track that melds futurist syncopations with a hypnotic, timeless narrative. Marivere gati is an ode of devotion to the goddess Meenakshi, who is an avatar of Parvati, the Hindu goddess of fertility, love, and devotion.

The album “GLOBAL CONTROL / INVISIBLE INVASION” will be released on September 18th, 2020 via Glitterbeat Records.
